It’s officially summertime here in the South, and there’s no better way to cool off than a refreshing sip in the shade of magnolia branches and inviting porch swings.

Not that we need an excuse for cocktail hour here in Charleston – especially on your wedding day!

Signature drinks add a splash of color, creativity and spirit to the occasion quite literally, with just one more way to treat guests to a celebration that’s a perfect toast to the two of you.

This is the fun part! You don’t have to be a master mixologist to create a delicious signature cocktail. Try a fun twist on your favorite standby: add Chambord and a lemon twist to your champagne, or spice up a classic punch with dark rum and Angostura bitters.

This time of year is also perfect for flavors straight from the garden. We like raspberry vodka lemonade or gin and soda with fresh jalapeño, lime juice and St. Germain liqueur.

Looking for a new favorite? PPHG senior event manager Meghan Trotter recommends the Cucumber Fizz. Cool citrus and cucumber and an elegant presentation make this signature cocktail a hit across our Charleston wedding venues year-round. The best part? You can shake up this recipe anytime with a few simple ingredients, which also make great additions to your home bar.
Cheers!
