The experience: You’ll have a foot in the door with real-world industry training alongside some of the top wedding professionals in the business, experience you simply won’t receive from the classroom alone. Coupled with their guidance, insight and expertise, the experience is a springboard for a number of different roles within the hospitality industry – but it will take you only so far without a professional demeanor and can-do attitude to match! Prove that you’re able to complete any task with a smile, and you’re well on your way.

The connections: Can we talk about standout references on your resume? Patrick Properties is Charleston’s most respected hospitality company, and we’re fortunate to have built valuable relationships with Charleston’s most talented planners and event vendors over the course of more than two decades. Jump at this chance to create a top-notch professional impression while building your circle of contacts who will serve as important resources down the road.

The flexible schedule (and competitive pay):  Banquet staff positions are part-time with flexible hours, with an emphasis on weekends – when you have more leisure time and less obligations than during the week. You can expect to work a minimum of 6 shifts per month during the busy spring and autumn months and take home an hourly wage $12.00/hr. Done and done.
