Since 1990, the experts at the Pantone Color Institute have set the trend by nominating a Color of the Year – a single hue that will reign as inspiration for the design world over the next 12 months.
This year unveiled Marsala (Pantone 18-438), a shade described as a “naturally robust and earthy wine red” that Pantone also attributes to the color of fine chocolates, exotic spices, and the fragrant loam of the fertile Earth.
As Marsala also marks the 25th Color of the Year, we couldn’t help but reflect on a few of our past favorites that inspired the gorgeous and color-filled celebrations across Patrick Properties’ historic Charleston venues.
What do you think, brides-to-be: will Marsala be the color of your year?
