PPHG’s In-House Planning + Design Team
We sat down with PPHG’s fabulous in-house planning + design team, Peninsula Events, to give you a inside look at the ladies behind their breathtaking weddings + events. And because a picture is worth a thousand words, Taylor + Emma each created a customized mood board to share their personal styles and the inspo for their beautiful event designs. This is what we found out…
Taylor’s mood board took us to all things Holy City, home, and hosting. Last time we checked, those are pretty ideal characteristics for an event planner in Charleston, SC! Taylor shared, “my love for Lowcountry lifestyle, interior design, and showing others hospitality through hosting gatherings makes planning + coordinating events for clients at our historic Charleston venues a dream job.” When asked what her favorite part of hosting was, she said “I love hosting dinner parties for my friends + family; my favorite part is designing the tablescape.” And when it comes to past Peninsula Events weddings, the tablescapes shine time and time again, each one different than the last. We asked Taylor to share her favorite creative aspect of her job. “Definitely curating the dream vendor team to execute each client’s specific vision and tell their unique love story. I feel so lucky to work with such great vendors in the Charleston market – from florists to entertainers to photographers and every other creative in between.”
Meet Emma! When asked how she would describe her personal style, she said, “Chic meets edgy. Clean, modern, with a touch of playfulness, is typically my go-to when it comes to my personal life – home, clothes, aesthetic. Because my personal life tends to be neutrals, it allows me to be creative with the different color palettes/visions our clients bring to us.” We absolutely love that Taylor and Emma do have somewhat different styles; it shows their range when planning + designing events for their wide variety of clients. Emma’s goal is for Peninsula Events clients to look back on their wedding day in 30 years and still love the decisions they made and that their wedding day be just as timeless as their love. We also asked Emma about her favorite creative aspect of the job. “Finding ways to incorporate couples’ interests, personalities, and unique love story – whether that be including design elements from the client’s home to their favorite restaurant.” It is clear Emma ensures each event they plan is unique and different from the one before. When asked if there was anything else she’d like her clients to know, Emma shared, “I feel so fortunate to work with people from around the world to celebrate one of the best things you can experience in life… love!”
