This year, we were lucky enough to have two members of the PPHG fam get married right here at our very own venues: Abigail (Director of Events) and Isabel (Sales Manager). While Abigail’s wedding was at Parcel 32 and Isabel’s at the William Aiken House, both of them trusted our exclusive in-house planning team, Peninsula Events, to turn their dreams into realities! Each were absolutely beautiful, and we are honored they chose PPHG to host their big days… what a compliment that two employees wanted to spend even more time with us 😉

Abigail’s Fun February Celebration at Parcel 32
Abigail shared, “I’ve always wanted to get married at one of our properties. Not only are our venues beautiful, but the food is delicious, and the PPHG team makes the night unforgettable. It was absolutely perfect and one of the best nights spent with our close family and friends.” Her husband, Jeremy, left us the kindest review on The Knot, full of shout-outs and advice to future PPHG clients. Abigail + Jeremy did a fantastic job making their wedding unique and memorable, which was important considering Abigail has probably attended more weddings than she can count on our properties. It started with their seating chart, titled “Grab a Seat,” which was the first thing guests saw upon entering the reception. Each mini chair represented a different table, guiding guests to their (not mini) table – how fun! Moving into cocktail hour, the couple chose fun specialty cocktails titled, the “Peanut” and the “Bindi,” after their cats. The Peanut was a gin + tonic, the groom’s favorite, and the Bindi was a Moscow mule, the bride’s favorite. Before dinner was served, personal cheese + charcuterie boards were preset at every seat, which proved to be an absolute crowd pleaser (obviously!). When asked what her favorite menu items were night-of, Abigail said, “It is so difficult to choose! I would say the Greek goddess salad, the short ribs, and the ricotta ravioli were some of our favorites.” A final special detail of their incredible evening was Jeremy’s gift to Abigail, a mini American Theater with their custom marquee message, created by the talented Radley Relics.

Isabel’s Colorful February William Aiken House Wedding
Isabel shared, “After working in events where I got so much joy from making our clients’ special day perfect, I knew how much it would mean to me to have my big day at the William Aiken House! The majority of our guests were from out of town, and I felt like it was the perfect classic Charleston experience for them.” Isabel + Aaron’s wedding was bursting with color, from the bridesmaids’ beautiful dresses to the floral arrangements; every way you looked, something would catch your eye. Isabel said, “I knew I wanted vibrant colors and more organic shapes and textures. I pulled a lot of inspiration from Pinterest and past events. When I shared this with the Peninsula Events team, they mentioned a florist (Floral Studies), and it was the exact same vibe – I was sold and let him run wild to do his thing, and he delivered! It was exactly what I wanted.” Their cake, created by Isabel’s friend Ali, was another special detail of the evening. “I always teased her in college that she made these beautiful cakes, but never for me! So, when she had the chance to make my cake, she didn’t hold back,” Isabel explained. It was a chocolate cake with vanilla icing, Aaron’s favorite. The couple chose a classic late night menu: Margarita pizza and truffle french fries, yum! They said, “Truffle fries are one of our favorite things. Every time we see they are offered at a restaurant, we have to get them. So we were excited to have them for our big day!”
