Budget-Friendly Florals? ‘Tis the Season to Consider

If there’s a Charleston wedding in your New Year, we know it may be a challenge to take a holiday from planning the big day. Our Patrick Properties event pros are here to help you check off that to-do list and relax in the warm glow of December – and more importantly, your engagement!

Today, let’s talk wedding florals: ‘tis the season to know what’s in season. Fresh, readily available blooms for your wedding bouquets and décor will be much more budget-friendly than those that are out of season or not grown locally around your wedding venue. But which to choose?

Traditional winter florals range from deep holiday hues like evergreen, red roses and poinsettias to softer shades of eucalyptus and dusty miller. Winter white calla lilies, gardenias, ranunculus and magnolia blossoms are beautifully crisp, and the sweetest accent for a Southern soiree, while royal liatris and delphimium add a dramatic pop of color.

However, mild South Carolina winters mean there are plenty of beautiful flowers and verdant greenery available year-round – and since we think you deserve a pretty little price tag this Christmas, we’ve wrapped up a few perfect picks just for you!

For more seasonal florals, we like this handy guide – though there’s no better resource than the expert local designers who make our Charleston venues bloom with color and beauty all year long.
