Wedding Brunch Events with PPHG!

Brunch… a southern tradition and everyone’s favorite excuse to add Champagne to orange juice. But what makes this mealtime so special, and should it have a place in your wedding week itinerary? From farewell brunches to brunch-themed weddings, PPHG can’t get enough of this egg-cellent trend! Below, we’re sharing a sneak peek from some of our recent brunch events. Read on to hear why PPHG adores this versatile meal.

In our opinion, the number one reason to host a brunch event is the FOOD! Not only does everyone love breakfast foods, but brunch allows couples to get creative with the menu for their big day. Greet your loved ones with a mimosa or something spicy from a Bloody Mary bar! Maybe you envision donuts instead of cake? As your full-service caterer, PPHG enjoys customizing a menu and is here to help you add those special personalized touches to your event.

Kelsey + Eric set the standard with their brunch rehearsal at Parcel 32 this past May. These two leaned into the theme and provided guests with a “wedding meets brunch” inspired word search. If that wasn’t creative enough, we absolutely love the maple leaf syrup that served not only as a condiment, but also chic tablescape decor.

Another perk (no pun intended) of hosting a brunch event is that it allows for a more intimate environment. Victoria + Trevor transformed Lowndes Grove this past February when they hosted 54 of their closets friends and family. These two tied the knot on the front lawn among beautiful white tulips then invited their guests under the tent for drinks, dancing, and chicken + waffles.

With the help of PPHG’s in-house planner, Abby Frye of Peninsula Events, Morgan + Steve hosted a brunch micro wedding at the River House at Lowndes Grove. Another intimate event with a guest list of 12, this bride + groom said “I do” along the Ashley River on a Monday in August. Brunch receptions typically end in the early to late afternoon, providing ample opportunity to keep the good times rolling at a secondary location. Make use of that time after your reception by inviting your friends + family to one of Charleston’s noteworthy beaches or lounge at the hotel pool where your guests are staying.

Last, but certainly not least, we conclude our brunch roundup with Chandler + Jordan’s wedding at the River House at Lowndes Grove. These two seas-ed the day by starting their event with a custom espresso bar and concluding with a grand boat departure, proving again that an outdoor waterfront venue is the perfect backdrop for any brunch event and gives your guests the opportunity to enjoy the best parts of the Lowcountry.
