With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, and spring not far behind, we’re turning up the romance and giving the classic holiday a front row seat for this month’s blog post. Paying homage to all things LOVE, we’re celebrating by giving you 5 different ideas for incorporating ‘hearts’ into your big day. Besides tying the knot on 2/14 itself, there are so many ways to communicate to your guests that you’re smitten with your new life partner, and below are just a few ideas to help you get started. After all, weddings are a celebration of love, so follow along with us as we share some tips on how to make your bash all about true love!

1. Pink Drinks
Thanks to colorful syrups and delectable garnishes, creating festive cocktails to showcase your love for your soulmate has never been easier. Adding grenadine to your favorite libations to make them pink (or red) and garnishing with a perfectly plump maraschino cherry are just a couple ways you can add in a touch of love to your specialty cocktails. Some cocktails display as red and pink on their own, with cranberry and grapefruit juices in the mix! Still, working with your culinary team to create a custom old fashioned or dainty martini displayed in elegant glassware is one of our favorite ways to celebrate the upcoming season of love with our couples.

2. Festive Florals
One of the easier ways to incorporate blush hues, adding in brightly-colored florals to your celebration, is a surefire way to pump up your color palette. Reds, pinks, and creams all work well in brightening up your tablescape, and even purples and moodier violets can help to add in a romantic, whimsical feel. Work with your planner to design a robust color palette for your special day that incorporates not only your personal favorites, but the overall feeling of love you’re looking for, as well.
3. Sweet Treats
Time-honored traditions and intricately-decorated cakes are an easy way to display festive colors and beautiful blooms to accentuate the season. Even the inside of the cake can be a perfect pink or red color! But beyond that, one of our favorite ways to honor your love as a couple is a display full of tasty confections and delicious chocolate. Working with our culinary team to create an exquisite dessert display that combines all of your favorite flavors together is not only the perfect way to signal your love to everyone in attendance, but to kick off the sugar rush just as the party begins.

4. Love Letters
One of the more subtle ideas in our list, adding in cute and creative paper materials into your day is another way to showcase your love as a couple. Whether through your table numbers, seating chart, bar signage, or even custom sweetheart designs, little touches like these – while not as obvious – are the perfect way to ensure the full story of your romance carries through the entirety of your big day. And adding in marquee letters to display your initials or simply to spell out LOVE make for great guest photo ops, as well! Work with your planning team to customize your paper details and create designs that pull the rest of your celebration together into a perfect, festive bow.
5. Captivating Ceremonies
Take festive florals to the next level by placing them front and center at the site of your ceremony. The ultimate display of true love, your ceremony is an unforgettable moment for your guests, and adding in rows of pink petals down the aisle or placing them in cones for guests to toss as you recede down the aisle is one of our favorite ideas. And it’s easy to get creative with! Floral arches at the end of the aisle make for great photos of your first kiss as a newly married couple. Decorate the aisle itself with rows of arrangements in between petals dotting the grass, or you can even incorporate a traditional religious ceremony, such as a unity candle, to showcase your love even further. Work with your florist and planning team to make your ceremony into something special just for you, and don’t forget to pose for a photo as you recede down the aisle to capture the ambiance!
Above all, your wedding day is a celebration of YOU and your love as newlyweds. Whatever you choose to incorporate, you can rest assured that your guests will have a fabulous time celebrating you and your partner as a couple!
